This site displays resources that document the history of the Japanese Internment experience within the islands of Hawai‘i and includes a large collection of primary resources.  The Japanese Cultural Center of Hawai‘i project was part of Education through Cultural & Historical Organizations, an education partnership of museums and cultural institutions in Hawai‘i, Alaska, Massachusetts, and Mississippi.

The Hawaii War Records Depository is a collection of archival materials that document life in Hawaii during World War II. The repository contains a small amount of material about Hawai'i internees in Hawai'i and in camps on the U.S. mainland.  The World War II Manuscript Collections contain the Otto Kuehn Family Papers- Otto and Freidel Kuehn's were incarcerated on Sand Island.  Photos can be searched on their website.
